Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. According to the CDC, more than 1 in 5 US adults live with a mental illness.¹

Denali Ingredients understands the importance of mental health, and understands that most of an employee’s problems stem from their personal lives. For that reason, Denali Ingredients offers LEAPCare.

“LEAPCare is a resource for our employees when they face life challenges that become overwhelming,” says Paul Kortman, Director, HR. “Our Care Coach is onsite weekly as a confidential resource for an employee’s personal needs, struggles, or life events. Whether it’s anxiety, finances, grief, addictions, or family issues, our Care Coach is there for an employee as much as they wish to help them through! Our Care Coach has become a true friend to many of our employees.”

If an employee doesn’t feel comfortable talking face-to-face with a Care Coach, text and voice chat are also options. With this being a voluntary resource, employees can have conversations about whatever they feel comfortable with, knowing that the option for assistance is there if needed.

“I am very grateful for our LEAPCare Coach and the resource that he is to our Denali team members,” states Neal Glaeser, President & CEO. “Knowing that they are available 24/7 to assist all of our team members gives me, as CEO, great comfort.”

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a free and confidential support, available 24/7.
